During a routine physical in 2022 with my primary care physician, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. This is an autoimmune disorder that attacks the thyroid. We quickly started working together on life experiences and I was learning how to use the breathing techniques he was showing me to help calm me through certain situations that would trigger me.
