Decided to treat ourselves yesterday to what we hoped a good meal. Unfortunately, we both had the Bucatini Carbonara and it was very off tasting and bitter. I thought it was just me and my tastebuds were off but my husband mentioned he also tasted a bitter flavour. We looked up the reason for this later, as we had plenty of Carbonara in the past, and it turns out many factors could be the issue such as the pepper and cheese used in the dish. My first time here with family and had a great experience at this location.
Wow.. the food here is amazing.. they also have a extensive Gluten free pasta list.. the the bread served with the meal.was excellent.. the chef came personally to ask how the meal was..
Beware! If you have any food allergies this is not the place to go. My family of 4 went to Acero prior to an event. Before ordering I told the server I had a dairy allergy and ask if any item on the brunch menu could be prepared to satisfy my allergy limitations. She made a suggestion and said they would not include the cheese on the item. When it came to the table I began to eat the item.
