They did not communicate clearly with customers, and I ended up having to pay unexpected hidden fees. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

The back and forth experience sucked but that’s not the reason for the bad review. The bad review comes because the dude at the counter tries to convince me to “pre pay” for gas. When i questioned it, i asked “is there a close gas station” (just so i know if it’s easy to fill up on my way to drop off)… the dude lied and shrugged his shoulders as if he didn’t know. Update on the "mandatory" renter's liability waiver (additional $21 per day charge): I have contacted the ACE's "Customer care" dept, and this is what they inform me: " In Nevada, effective October 1, 2025, rental car agencies must require renters to provide proof of insurance that meets the minimum coverage requirements set forth in NRS 485.185. I recently rented from Ace Rentals Las Vegas. The cost was significantly lower (70%) than the traditional rental agencies. For the savings there were a couple of things you have to know: -you take the shuttle to the airport rental center then you have to take another shuttle to their offsite location. The lack of disclosure makes the whole thing feel like shady politics, not honest business. They used to charge only for the exact gas missing from the tank. Now they pre-charge a full tank even if you’re only a quarter short — and they never disclosed that change. They also told us we’d get refunded if we returned the car early, but never mentioned that being 20 minutes late to a time they never specified would void that.
