I just needed one metric nut which I found in the hardware drawers. I like going to Ace hardware stores bc I just need one or two things, not a multi pack that I don't need or forget where one put it.
Definitely improved since ownership/management change. Hours are more consistent (used to close early without warning) and the employees know their stuff.
The place in Galt to go for hardware, paint, electrical, gardening -- even nuts & bolts. Prices are slightly higher than Home Depot, but worth it for the convenience and helpful staff!
Jacob went out of his way on several occasions to assist me with different types of paint and matching them up perfectly. The last gallon was tricky but he absolutely nailed it. Huge thanks!
As Ace Hardwares go, this place is a disappointment to Ace Hardware. I always count on Ace to have what I need. I may pay a bit more, that is ok with me. This Ace doesn't have a lot of basic things that should be in stock and usually is. They could learn a lot from the Ace's in Lodi, Tracy, and Stockton stores. They have things I didn't know I needed.
