We had a village reassessment and I went to the open book and the person, who didn’t even introduce themself, just kept talking that your tax burden is reduced. I wanted to talk about my fair market value and she said we can only look at sold comparables from 23 and 24. I said great I have some from 24, which according to the information we received, is where the assessment was coming from. ZERO STARS. The Village of Oregon recently contracted with Accurate Appraisal (AA) for property assessments. My home's assessed value was increased by over $130,000—despite no improvements being made since I purchased it three years ago. Notably, no one from AA physically inspected the property.
