Nice property and charming house, but it's really missing some things that would make it great. The bathroom fan made a very loud clunky sound and we weren't sure it was actually doing anything, so we left it off. The living room was strangely laid out (see pictures) and only had one chair that was very comfortable. And the doorknobs were all loose (except the front door of the suite which was very nice), so that we couldn't close any door without loud rattling noises. Four adult males getting ready to do a work project on the island for a week and we have one shower one bathroom between two rooms the water pressure sucks the kitchenette is a joke a microwave a very small half refrigerator that doesn't hold even our daily drinking requirements for our work .. quiet time starts at 9:00 so if you make any kind of noise after 9:00 you start getting yelled at by other people... All in all this place really kind of sucks
Loggers suite was perfect for a solo travel. Walls/doors are thin, so I can see how it might be a problem if neighboring travelers aren't considerate, but my stay was quiet and peaceful!
We stayed in The Logger Suite, very nice, great location, great price.
We stayed in the Explorer's Suite for our short honeymoon. This place gets a 5 for ambience, and a 5 for location. It's just a few blocks away from the ferry, the grocery store, and all the restaurants downtown, so we mostly walked everywhere. It is a gorgeous, thoughtfully restored Craftsman living room that has been converted to a rental unit. The big downer for us was that in such a nice room they put such a cheap and uncomfortable bed.
