Avoid this ambulance company! I went to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio for a minor eye issue. The ER couldn’t help and suggested I go to University Hospital using medical transport. The ride was less than 1/5 a mile (5 minutes), and they provided literally no service (ZERO)—yet billed me $2,500!!!!! Insurance covered most, but now they’re aggressively demanding more money for deductable, after collection now they sent lawyer’s letter. even though I’ve disputed it with their collections agency. Stop running code and speeding for non emergencies!
They drive in the left lane on the highway, holding up traffic, making vehicles pass they on the right. Which technically is illegal. LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING ONLY!! I seriously wish I got the license plate # of that old man (grey hair) driving the Acadian shuttle van on loop 410 E. past the airport near I-35.
The EMS academy based here in SA has one of the lowest passing rates I've seen. The instructor, Kayla, is very disorganized and struggles to handle pressure. The program is designed to be completed in 12 weeks, yet she is still struggling to respond to emails and set up accounts. Avoid Acadian and their academy!
