We had a wonderful paddle with Jared on a beautiful day this past September. Everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. The equipment is well maintained and top notch. The stories, the sights and the company made for a great few hours, viewing this amazing corner of the world from a different perspective.
My wife and I had a great time on our tour at the end of September. We enjoyed the tour of the bay with our guide (the owner). He shared lots of interesting things about the area, the wildlife, and some jokes, (some better than others :) .) The boats are great quality and in perfect shape. I loved that it was a small group of only 3 double boats. All gear you need is provided.
Everything about this company is top notch, and I would highly recommend them! Sandy was amazing about scheduling our private tour and making sure our whole group of 8 could go out together for an After Dark kayak tour with Red. When we got to the meeting point beach, the whole process of getting us an introduction to the kayaks, geared up, and on the water was seamless, even with some height challenges. My daughter and I had such a great time. It was a beautiful day. Our guide, Red, was so knowledgeable. Even as a local, I learned so much about the area. We saw lots of wildlife too. Everything went so smooth and it was super fun!
We lucked into this tour and it was the highlight of our trip to Maine. While at Hadley Point Beach to enjoy the sunset, we met Gus and he sold us on taking a tour. Sandy signed us up for the Dirigo tour the next day and Red provided us with an amazing experience. Red was extremely knowledgeable on the local ecology and wildlife as well as the history of the island.
