I was afraid to place my mom here but had no other choice after being told by the hospital that the only facility in the entire town with a bed to accommodate my mother for a long term stay was Acacia Park. Thank you Acacia park for accepting my sweet mother who at the time had a few problems adjusting to the idea that she would be living in a nursing home. I use to work at this facility and have had a family member here and knowing everything I do I would recommend this facility. They have done alot of changes and are trying to better the building, it don't happen over night but they have come along way. The main thing is they are constantly striving to better their care for the residents. The staff really do care about the residents, when I left I cried and so did some of the patients, I still go visit. My mom had hip replacement surgery and I recieved a list of skilled nursing facilities from the hospital. I needed to place my mom for short term rehab possible to be long term care. After doing my research, touring the facilities and asking alot of questions, even though Acacia wasn't the best looking facility I felt the most comfortable with the staff. My Dad was taken to Acacia Park after he fell and broke his hip. Im so thankful they were able to help him and want to especially thank the therapy staff. We knew we couldnt take care of him at home and the hospital told us no one will keep you after therapy days are up in Modesto because there were no long term care beds at the "good" facilities. Acacia was able to give him a permanant spot - so to all the places that said no to him at the hospital- SHAME on you. He's stronger, happier and loves this place. I dont know what... read more

My wife fell and suffered a hairline fracture of the pelvis. She could not walk or even stand and was taken off a cruise ship by ambulance to a hospital in southern California and then brought by ambulance to Modesto. I put her into Acacia Rehabilitation Center because I had heard that they had great physical therapy. The help that she received was nothing less than miraculous and after two weeks she was walking with the help of a walker and after 30 days they had strengthened her enough that she was ready to come home. I WOULD NEVER LEAVE A FAMILY MEMBER OR EVEN A SICKDOG IN THIS PLACE. NOT ONLY IS THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING UNEASY TO THE EYE, THE FACILITY IS FILTHY WITH ROTTEN WATER DAMAGE TO THE CEILING. WHEN IT RAINS THE CELING LEAKS AND ALL THE STAFF DOES IS PUT A BUCKET UNDER IT. ALSO MANY OF THE ROOMS ARE MISSING BLIND SLATS, ALLOWING PEOPLE TO SEE INSIDE THE PATIENT'S ROOM. LAST BUT LEAST THE AMOUNT MOLD IN THE SHOWER ROOMS I CANT BELIEVE THE STATE HAS NOT CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN.

MY MOTHER WAS VERY SICK AND WAS SENT TO ACACIA PARK FROM THE HOSPITAL. IT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE I COULD HAVE EVER MADE FOR MY MOTHER. THERE WERE NO T.V'S IN THE ROOMS. MY MOTHER'S WAS GIVEN A BED WITH A BROKEN RAIL AND I HAD TO REQUEST FOR HER TO GET A NEW ONE (IT TOOK THEM TILL 8:30PM). ALSO, MY MOTHER'S THINGS WOULD GO MISSING AND THE STAFF WOULD HAVE NO IDEA. THE STAFF ONLY DOES SHOWERS TWICE A WEEK. OVERALL, IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET. IF THERE EVER IS A NEXT TIME (AND I HOPE NOT)I KNOW YOU HAVE TO LOOK INT... read more
