Bad Reputation I would not take any pet here and cannot recommend it anyone either. Dr Mauer is a big man and has a tendency to be unnecessarily rough with the animals in his care. Instead of going out of his way to soothe a scared pet, he is very rough and forceful. I can't warn enough people about hiss demeanor.
a grateful client I recently had to put my beloved Shepherd to sleep due to end stage cancer. Dr Mauer was kind,and gentle to both the dog and it's person. The dog left this world in a relaxed and in a relaxed and painless manner, Dr Mauer was kind and not at all rough, in fact I emphasize, he was very compassionate so the dog was not at all alarmed or nervous. I thank him greatly, he made a nightmare bearable. Dr. Mauer's office was clean, his staff professional and kind. I had my girl's ashes back in a week.
Excellent hospital I recently had the pleasure of visiting this Animal Hospital. I saw Dr. Mauer, who was excellent! I would recommend him to anyone! I got 1st class service with a smile. The hospital was very clean, and the rest of the staff was so professional and pleasant! They took great care of my 4 legged friend!
disgusted As far as bringing my animals to Dr. Mauer, I would never. As far as him being caring and having symathy for any animal he deals with, he has NONE. Euthanizing 5 animals a week and not caring how old they are, is unbelievable seeings he euthanizes completely healthy animals that ANIMAL CONTROL (liberty animal control, not saying any names) picks up without hesitation.
