The plastic belt in the water wall assembly of my ******* dishwasher broke. The service technician comes to my house and informs me the entire water wall assembly has to be replaced and that there were no other service parts or repair options. So the technician leaves and bit later I get a call back with a quote for the repair.....$79 for the service call, $95 for labor, and $260 for the water wall assembly for a total of $434 plus tax. Long story short I was able to repair the dishwasher in 20 minutes for absolutely free! ... read more

Mr. and Mrs.******, The belt being broke on the water wall is a part of a service bulletin from *******. Service bulletin #**************. We were told by the engineers that if this piece comes off then the whole water wall vane assembly needs to be replaced. I can assure you we are not trying to rip anyone off. We aren't even making money on parts. The labor is $95 because we would have to disassemble the whole unit and replace the motor underneath.
