I spent six weeks at Abria, and thought most of the counselors were great. However, I would not recommend this program for women, especially those struggling with alcohol specifically. There was only one other woman in the group, and many members were recovering from hard drugs. While I met some really lovely people, I recognized my treatment would need to be more specialized. The exercises and counselors were lovely, and I think it’s a great place for men of all ages to find community.
Im 60 year old woman who wanted help getting my drinking under control. I wasn’t sure what to expect but Abria was one of my insurance options and the online brochure sounded like a good fit. It also let me know what to expect which was helpful. It was actually much more pleasant than I thought it would be. The place was comfortable and the care was excellent. This is definitely the best treatment I have been to by far. The staff is professional and genuinely care about your recovery.
This place is amazing!, they took such good care of me and the best part is the staff CARE! That is one in a million ! They are the best in Minnesota
