I want to share how grateful I am for the amazing care my son received at Abrazo Cave Creek Emergency Center. He was taken back immediately and the staff could not have been more attentive. His nurse Shelly and his physician Dr. Kupka took his concerns seriously, kept us informed, and were very attentive to all of his needs. Alyssa, one of the other nurses there also took the time to check on my son and reassure him which helped a lot. Jessica the Patient Access Rep at the front desk got us registered right away. I needed to go in due to not feeling well for the second time in the past few months. EveryTime I go in I am treated so well, it is such a change to leave feeling better and to feel happy with how I have been treated. Positive feedback and shots out to everyone who I had contact with! Edit - I just went back recently due to some serious throat pain that has been going on for 2 months. I’ve seen three ENTs, my PCP several times, and my dentist. The pain has gotten increasingly worse to the point where I can hardly swallow. My PCP is out of town and every other specialist I called had no availability for months. I don't trust abrazo. My mom recently visited this ER for severe kidney stone pain. She had to request a CT scan herself, and although the scan revealed severe hydronephrosis, which can become septic if untreated — Dr. Kupka failed to discuss the full results with her and sent her home without recommending going to a bigger hospital for treatment nor giving antibiotics. Thankfully she reached out to her medical friends who were concerned that she was sent home. This isn’t the first time she’s had a dangerous experience here.... read more
