This program is awesome if your SOFT AKA NOT LIKE THAT behave yourself and don’t get sent here this program isn’t for the shit talking can’t fight passive and indirect individuals more than likely you will get beat up better hope there’s staff around to save you! I was a resident at the original (Abraxas) which is basically on the same property, back in 1983-1984. I completed about 1 year there. That place taught me so much about life and to me, it was an awesome experience. I transferred to the halfway house portion, but did not finish it, as I wanted to get back to school/work, etc. My advice to anyone who reads this is, when you start something that is going to benefit your life, finish it and see it through. I was there for 11 months I really hated it when I first got there it was awful. I had a good counciler that I liked but she ended up quitting my second month there. But then I got a different one miss.Tanya. I don't think I would have ever gotten through that program if it wasn't for her so shout out to her. I'm giving it 2 stars cause I was always finding small pieces of plastic in my food. Also some staff there are very rude and disrespectful and then expect you to respect them so... I was here for a year back in 2013 I think at the age of 17-18. I’m 28 now. Completed the program. Got my GED. shoutout to “BROTHER” the teacher. we called him. That man was amazing!! I think about this place all the time. It changed my life. You gotta want change. If not it will be hard for ya. I was a full blown drug addicted fool at 14.
