First let me start by saying that we have tour every complex from Calabash to Murrells Inlet and this is the only one I would live at. The staff is amazing and care. You are not just a number to them and you are truly someone. We have rented a 3 bedroom and because of some circumstances with the sale of our condo we have had to push back the date. I took a tour here today, Saturday. The homes and community are nice but what I really want to focus on is the agent that was working the office. She was helpful, kind, thoughtful and understanding. All within an hour I watched one man make inappropriate comments to her- she handled it super professionally. I watched a woman come into the office, cut her off and yell at her- the agent didn’t miss a step and handled it exactly how an employer would want her to. Whatever she makes, it’s not enough. Our experience with Abode at Carolina Forest and management was extremely disappointing and, in our opinion, financially aggressive. To be transparent, we did have to break our lease due to documented medical reasons. Proper medical documentation was provided. Management informed us that we were not being fined for breaking the lease — yet shortly after, we were presented with a nearly $6,800 charge for flooring. I am sharing our experience to provide a balanced view for future renters. On the positive side, the leasing office and management are friendly, responsive, and made the move-in process easy. The community is also notably quiet for not being gated. However, we encountered the same recurring issues that were never properly resolve. Every storm resulted in water intrusion through the air vents, causing damage to our furniture. Despite multiple reports, maintenance only performed "patchwork" that failed to fix the root cause. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience touring the Adobe community thanks to Tia, Kimberly, KJ, and Mark. Everyone was welcoming and professional, and Tia truly made the tour special. I live here in Columbia, and Tia went above and beyond to make the experience feel personal and stress-free.
