Mario and Anna Abitino immigrated to the US from Naples, Italy in 1972. Having brought their Italian traditions and secret family recipes, Mario started in the pizza business in Brooklyn, NY in 1974. Through hard work and struggles Mario, Anna and their three sons Dominick, Mario Jr. and Salvatore started Abitino's Pizza and Italian Kitchen in 1992 in Midtown Manhattan. The garlicky white pizza with spinach hits the spot when I need a slice
Order quickly and get all you need ... once the waiter leaves it's hard to get his or her attention again.
A reliable neighborhood find that serves up an above-average pie (my fave- their Grandma slice!). Eat there fresh out of the oven instead of having it delivered.
