I spent a recent day walking around the Chelsea area. I was walking on 12th street and I found the park. Abingdon Square is a rather small park, fully enclosed with an iron fence. In the middle, there is a landscaped grassy area with lots of resting pigeons. Then to the south, there is a nice statue memorial for the soldiers who lived in this area fought and died in WWI. Lots of seating all around and lots of people enjoying this beautiful park.
I LOVE GOING HERE TO PEOPLE WATCH AND FEED THE PIDGIES
A small oasis with plenty of seating and shade
Cozy and peaceful, in neighborhood of independent restaurants and cafes, and small boutiques further north. Also nice memorial day flag display in the garden.
