Abingdon animal medical center's doctor and staff are amazing. They care!! My fur babies are our family, and I trust these folks with their medical care. As I have said before, these folks treat the whole family. They ARE always there for us, and we are grateful.
On June 25 th 2021 Dr O'Hara preformed bladder surgery on my Smokey. He's a large male solid gray cat. He is the brother to Mr. Butter's I told everyone about last year. They were found in the town of Saltville's woodchipper by the town crew. They were about 2 weeks old. Abingdon animal medical center saw Mr Butters immediately when no one else would. On Dec 8th, 2020 I had another wonderful visit with this office. The Doctor and staff are excellent. I highly recommend these folks. They are welcoming and caring. I have 12 cats, so I needed a vet who will be there for us when we need them. Every time I have called for help, they have been there available and ready to take care of my sweet fur babies. We love all you guys. Thank you!
RecommendedI have to say I have not had good experiences with vets so I was scared to take my special needs kitty to one. She was very ill so I took her to the clinic for the first time. The staff was very friend amd the doctor was incredibly kind and I could tell he loves animals. Unfortunately, my baby was worse than we thought and we had to do the best thing for her but the hardest for us and that was let her go to sleep. I called them right at closing on a Friday and asked them if they could fit in my brother and sister in laws dog asap. She was very old and needed to be put to sleep as she was in pain and they didn't have a normal vet and others wouldn't do it because she wasn't their patient. I explained the situation and that I was hours away in TN but they needed this, they needed help. Alisha was so kind and was able to fit her in the next day. Today, first thing this morning. I have taken my dog here several times for his nails to be cut and they did good until this last trip. The girl that took him back. He was back there for sometime. When she brought him back he looked so bad, his ears and face was red as blood. When asked about it was told he was agitated and he had pooped everywhere back there and she cleaned him the best she could. He had poop all over his long tail down his legs it was very bad. Our first experience with AAMC and Dr. O'Hara was not something we planned. Our dog collapsed Friday afternoon and her regular vet was out of the office. AAMC worked her in as a new patient and saw her within an hour. Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to euthanize our sweet Molly Ann. Dr. O'Hara and his staff allowed us to spend 3 hours saying goodbye and waiting for our children to arrive. The entire staff was kind and patient with us through this heartwrenching process.
