The Abliene & Smoky Valley Railroad has been on my wish list for quite a few years - and I finally took a solo-mini-vacay (in early July) and checked quite a few things off my list for this area! I REALLY enjoyed the ride - the volunteers would visit with the guests in the train cars and we had a couple great conversations. Was not what I expected having reading reviews, the ride was boring nothing to see, they did try to educate but the day we rode kids rode free. No where for adults only. Sadly we were not made aware. The engine was electric (not steam or diesel) not a very nice experience. Have had much better, don't waste your money.
The train ride is fun for kids. The scenery is leaving but that's no one's fault
Our 28th Anniversary.... Date Night dinner train ride was historical... Loved the atmosphere, Food was good, people were friendly, definitely bringing the grandkids for the pumpkin patch ride and then a group friends for the Evergreen and Ember ride... thank you so much for an anniversary that we will definitely talk about for years to come.
