Avoid this company like the plague! I have a shipping coming from overseas and already paid 2000+ for it. It was determined that no liftgate service was arranged by error. I wanted to change the address to my warehouse. They tried to charge me $683 to change the address to 19 miles down the street. Customer service was not helpful and rude. Kept referencing that this was SOP or standard operating procedures. I guess it’s standard operating procedures to take advantage of your customer on the last mile!
ABF Freight does not keep to their promise of being efficient and ontime. I rescheduled an initial delivery from Thursday to Friday due to work. ABF Freight gave me a delivery window from 8am to 8pm. At 11am on Friday the driver called to notify me that his 40ft trailer was too long to come into my subdivision and that the delivery would need to be rescheduled. Very mean driver.
So things started out rocky. Had issues with dispatch getting back to me and making some corrections. Had them refuse to make any concessions in my favor even with a 3 day advanced notice. Then the driver TJ Wallace came in and really restored my faith in people. Great guy, hard worker, wonderful personality, and a desire to see the job get done right. most would say hey this looks hard I just have a threshold delivery.
