I went years and years (12) of being told I was making this up in my head. I have Hashimoto Autoimmune Disease and the Dr kept telling me I was over weight and had to be eating. When I kept food diaries and kept tract of everything I ate I still had Dr telling me I was making it up or they would say I was out right lying. I was in his first study group! I was literally dying from Gastroparesis! We started at UT Bold and then he came to Little Rock, Arkansas where I received my Gastric Pacemaker! I followed him to Mississippi for battery changes! Now I need to go to Kentucky for a battery! What makes me so angry is UAMS which is where my Pacemaker was put in, tells people now that it doesn't work!! I'm living proof that it does! He's a very kind, caring and compassionate Doctor!! Dr. Abell is THE best doctor I've ever seen. I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis and Cyclic vomiting syndrome when I was 30. He saved my life by making the diagnosis and making it possible for me to get my gastric pacemaker. I thank God for him daily.
