Dr. Abdul Hafiz is someone I am so very thankful for. My own cardiologist was over seas when I started have severe chest pains. Having already had a stent put in before I knew not to mess around. Dr Abdul Hafiz got me in immediately for an appointment. So to jump ahead….I ended up needing another stent badly. Dr Abdul Hafiz was very kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable Doctor. Just completed my annual cardiac physical with Dr. Hafiz and, as always, had a very satisfactory experience with him and the team of residents accompanying him during my visit. He asked the kinds of questions one would expect from an accomplished cardiologist and provided answers to the questions I had with clarity and in understandable layman's terms. I also found his department's staff cordial and quite accommodating upon my arrival and in scheduling next year's appointment.
Waited 15 minutes after my appointment time, without any acknowledgement that they were obviously running behind. When I inquired about how much longer it would be, Desk attendant had no clue. She got Dr. Hafiz nurse who stated the nurses, techs and doctor where all there but, she also had no idea how long it would be. Treating patients as if their time is not important, shows major lack of professionalism and compassion in the SIU medical community.
