Complaint: I contacted ABC Apria at 1:00 AM through their after-hours service because my toddler’s nebulizer was malfunctioning while she is battling RSV. I was assured that a replacement nebulizer would be delivered to my home that same day. No one arrived, and I received no follow-up call. My issues is with the chesapeake location staff. My original appointment to get my cpap went well and without any issues. However, I realized I needed a different mask. There's an 855 number that texted me asking if I had issues and I picked the option for yes so a representative called me and we discussed the issue. This company is basically a scam. They force you to rent a cpap for years with your insurance when you could buy one new for less without insurance. To date I’ve paid over $300 for 4 months of rental and the machine brand new is $850. Originally I was told I only had to rent for 3 months. I’m now told because of a job change I’ll have to rent another 15 months and even then I won’t own it. I’ll be in the hole for over $2,000 for an $850 machine. I’m deeply disappointed with the lack of follow-through and accountability from this office. I was clearly told multiple times that I would not be responsible for any outstanding balances during the transition period between the end of my active duty contract and the start of my VA benefits. 04/29/25 I cannot complain with this visit. 5 or more years ago when I picked up a new machine the guy was busy and gave me the machine and walked me out. This time I was at least given some time and the lady went over the machine. They have come a long way since 05.
