Fantastic location love the vibe of the place and room was very comfortable with great views and service was great
Starting off, there was black mold along the ceiling and wall, pretty good 10 foot section. The night we checked in I had to run back in the parking garage to grab something from my truck. I literally just came from there about 10 minutes before. As I was walking down the main hallway in the back, the security guard argued with me saying I couldn’t go in there. 1) I booked three rooms for the BLINK Festival during the weekend of October 9, 2026. We get to the hotel at 4:30 pm to check in. The front desk person asked if I had heard about "the issues with the hotel." I had not. He informs me that none of the guest rooms had AC due to a fire that "just happened." I find out later that the fire was two weeks before. The hotel had plenty of time to alert us to the issue but I guess they didn't care enough to give us the opportunity to make other arrangements. Stunning 1930s Art Deco building, bar in a beautiful tall ceiling room, live piano music nightly, 1931 restaurant, and breakfast buffet ($24) intense amounts of details everywhere. We spent an hour exploring it all! Old Rookwood pottery glazed tile murals, intricate details everywhere, free to explore the first 4 floors and lower shopping level What a shame the shops and such are no longer in operation. They certainly dont build them like they used to!!
I have never had a Hilton experience go so wrong. Upon checking in virtually and going straight up to the room, our AC wasn’t working. Called the front desk and they said half their rooms were out due to an electrical fire? With no apology for the inconvenience, they just offered a downgrade. Since they didn’t have an equivalent room with working AC so we were downgraded and told we’d receive a partial refund (it’s been a week and still no refund).
