Very Professional and Caring – Laurie and I go way back; she had placed me at a firm in Boston about ten years ago, before I got married and moved away. Now that I'm back, it took her just eight days to find me a VERY nice assignment, with wonderful people, at a thriving company just North of Boston. They are the BEST! – My life has been a mess for the past year. I was laid off. I loved my old job and I didn't know what to do. My payments were due, I had just gotten engaged and wanted to apply for my MBA (night school). Great agency!! – I found out about Abbott Personnel Consulting through a Craigslist Posting about a Market Research position. I worked with Melis, one of the staffing consultants from Abbott and she was incredibly enthusiastic and committed about placing me in the company. I had expressed my interest in working full-time permanently (temp to perm) and she had relayed that information to the hiring manager at the company and put in a good word for me. I LOVED them – I have been working with Abbott Personnel for the past year. They first placed me in as a temp at a really well known company. Joanne and Laure checked in on me continuously. 6 months later Laure called me to check in with me to see everything was going well and suggested I come in to see her the following week. I had made it obvious that I wanted to be placed at a perm job so I felt secure and had the opportunity to club up the corp ladder. All I was looking for was a a clean break. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – These people are rude and inconsiderate. Laurie Weisberg made an appt. with me (to come to my home, which is a bit sketchy!) and she canceled 30 mins. before the interview - I had already made arrangements and canceled my 11 am appt. She had nothing to say. She was rude and this is why I NEVER USE AGENCIES! They are scumbags. This company is very unprofessional and I would never waste my time with them. They don't care about you!

I Think Small Client Base Hurts Them – I used to have a great contact there, but he left the firm three years ago. He was frank enough to say that the boss is "looking for a broad" when clients would ask for an administrative assistant. He couldn't get me anything and since my recent experience at the time was in accounting, that was outside of the scope of that agency. Great people, small firm with good personal service, but no work.
