I went to the Royal Park Abbott Pathology today to have a fasting blood test. They were really busy I had to wait 2hrs to have a blood test and then she couldn't get any blood from me. It happened to a couple of other people to. I think if they had a water fountain close by it might’ve helped get our blood better as they say drink lots of water. It was a bit disappointing.
Abbott pathology At Royal park have been my local pathology provider for many years. On the 31/10/2025 I visited there as usual. The collection person was efficient and caring. That was where it all went wrong. 2 weeks later I had my appointment with my Doctor. Sat down and he informed me that he had NO results. I then had to wait a further 20 minutes while the doctors receptionist asked and waited for the results. This alone was unacceptable. The nurses at Abbott Pathology Royal Park are friendly, considerate & skilled. Blood collection is usually painless if you are well hydrated & the vein is easily located. Waiting time is short if you choose early morning or early afternoon, in my experience.
