If you want a very OUTSTANDING doctor - go to Dr. Sherrill. I suffered with pain for 10 years because I was afraid of surgery. I went to Dr. Sherrill and after surgery I was completely pain free and have been ever since. It was immediate! Met this doctor only 3 minutes ever. In 2007, I arrived at the Iowa Memorial ER at 10pm with symptoms of Cauda Equina, an emergency. He arrived at 11pm, met me at 1130 with MRI told me I needed surgery and I was in the OR by 1am. He performed a laminectomy, and saved me from lower paralysis. Had he not acted so fast it came in the AM, I would have had permanent disability. He was amazing whole facility worked like clockwork.
The meanest, rudest, no heart, no care for your voice and pain. He put me in worse pain and walked out of the 10 minute appointment when my husband and I needed help desperately since it’s kept me unemployed for 19 months, without a care! Do not expect this doctor to listen or help because he’s only about himself. What happened to good patient care? Sad!
Dr Gallegos was very patient with me. He answered questions and gave good explanations that I could understand. Left consultation feeling confident and at ease.
If you require a doctor who listens, is patient, thorough, engaged and altogether professional, then you've come to the wrong office. He's rude, condescending, and is more interested in his wardrobe than actually making a positive difference. Unquestionably, the most unprofessional medical professional ever - he mockingly said, 'bad doctor, bad doctor,' when his attitude and behavior were called into question. Unbelievable!
My husband experienced a heart attack and we were scared to death. Dr Gallegos went above and beyond comforting us thru this whole experience! Because of Dr Gallegos and his team my husband is here for 2023 Christmas! I have no words to thank him enough. Tim Anderson is here today because of Dr Gallegos
Long wait. Dr Didn't preview report stated I just have a small herniation (at different spot than my concern from report). Said my pain wouldn't be caused by what he saw and said to do NCT when asked what would be possible treatments he said he didn't know until he got results. Had me walk across the room and then said or can just refer you to Iowa City. MRI report showed nerve root compression and slight spinal cord compression in upper thoracic but that wasn't addressed.
