Unprofessional Staff!!! No sincerity or empathy in NHS!! I had a disappointing experience at abbey medical practice during my recent appointment. Due to limited parking, I briefly parked in the staff car park, intending to move my car shortly after checking in. As I walked away, a staff member called me back, and another from an upstairs window joined in, publicly reprimanding me in a confrontational manner. I am paralysed and housebound. Until around 2018/19, this clinic was quite good. But a year ago, I was removed from their patient list because I hadn’t attended in person — though how was I supposed to get there with a broken wheelchair and no carer? They struck me off with a backdated letter. A truly vile trick...
Although the clinic is neither the best nor the worst, the male receptionist in particular is impolite and unprofessional, and he is never happy to assist or even schedule appointments for people. Having to deal with the reception staff is really frustrating.
This medical practice is not the worse nor is it the best. But I do find the doctors helpful and professional. The only thing I dislike about this practice is the reception staff. There have been a few times that I have gone in and have had to explain my situation and before you even get to finish what you are saying, the staff member will interrupt you while you are speaking and doesn’t even let you finish your sentence. Please don't bother with this surgery. I would give it zero not possible. Waste of time doctors don't care and the receptionist rude and talk open about your issues.
