I always have a good experience here. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but I am sure that’s because they’re busy sometimes.. The 1 missing star is because of slow ambulance response times. A friend of mine said that even though she was right across the street from the hospital it took the ambulance over 10 minutes to arrive for a shooting victim who later died. In my experience, the ambulance took about 15 minutes to arrive for a patient of mine who was experiencing difficulty breathing, although we were in abbeville.... read more
Had all of our children here and my husband and I have been in the emergency room a good few times over the years they are always very nice

I have kidney stone problems for the about a year. I had one that was so large I had to have surgery. Abbeville General has always been quick to respond and help control the pain! I’m so glad we live so close to the hospital!
I just HAD to come here to say: bravo to Dr Michael Sonier! Wow! All he has to do all night long apparently is tell people they’re fine and bam they are cured!!! He did absolutely everything in his power as a doctor, even went “above and beyond” as his words relay- and did bloodwork and started an IV drip on me for no reason!! That takes some SERIOUS skill people. Do not worry- as soon as Dr Michael tells you that you are OK you are definitely OKAY!
