I’ve never left a review for a doctor but felt compelled to do it for Dr. Jowkar. My experience with Dr. Jowkar has been only good so far. He has been the first doctor, in 3 years and legitimately out of 17 doctors, to diagnosis my condition and give me hope and a treatment plan. My first appointment with him, he took the entire hour to patiently explain so many things to me. He kindly answered all of my questions. I’ve been waiting to see him for months. He completely dismissed me. I was specifically referred to a neuromuscular specialist by my rheumatologist. The first thing he told me before examining me was that all of my issues are rheumatology, even though I’m having extreme neuromuscular issues that are continuously getting worse. I have MG. My beginning Neuro Dr. Left practice to go into research. I chose HFHS, read about Dr's. with the HFHS near me. Dr. Jowkar was my choice , I researched his experience with MG. It looked good. What a mistake. Then I looked at comments from others. I'm searching for another Dr. He should go into general practice.
I had an appointment with Dr. Jowkar yesterday so the day before I looked up his ratings. They were not good it made me nervous and I almost cancelled. I went to my appointment and I’m glad I did. Dr. Jowkar and his staff were excellent Everyone was friendly and very professional. Dr. Jowkar spent a lot of time with me and made sure I understood what he was doing. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone who asks.
This is the first doctor to care and help me get a diagnosis after getting belittled and treated poorly by other doctors saying there was nothing wrong with me. He spent 2 hours with me which I think is why people with EDS are having a hard time getting appointments because he wants and needs a lot of time to assess EDS patients.
