Decent pillows, not the square deflated crap you get these days. Had my best rest here, day 3 of our roadtrip.
Abajo Lodge is an older style motor lodge, but very well maintained. We called last minute in the evening after an unpleasant experience at a local Dome establishment. Staff accommodated us immediately, and professionally. Check in was again, professional and friendly. The room was spotless clean, and updated very nicely. I was surprised how quiet the place was, and had a great night's sleep. I'd stay again.
On a recent motorcycle trip with friends, we stayed at the Abajo Lodge on September 12 and, again, on September 15. The property is "as clean as a pin" and it's obvious the owners care about their business. On our second stay, one of our friends had a mechanical failure with his motorcycle and couldn't continue. Maria, the hotel owner stepped up and assisted with acquiring a U-Haul truck. Since the truck was 22 miles away, she called a friend to take our companion there to get it. We had a nice stay here. We have 4 kids under 12 and the family suite worked perfectly for our family. We enjoyed that there was a restaurant across the street. It was nice to not have to get back in the car after a long drive.
