I recently applied to rent at Abaco and ended up backing out because the rental process was so horrible and was scammed out of $875. I applied, paid the application fee and was approved, I was told that I had to pay for the application fee for my disabled vet son but that it would be refunded. They then charged me $600 for my son’s service animal but said that would also be refunded since Florida law doesn’t allow them to charge for that.
