The folks at AARP in Colorado truly care about the seniors in our state. As a conservative leader, it has been a pleasure working with AARP to develop lines of communication with other conservatives, business organizations, and Republican elected officials.

It's just a magazine publisher. Nothing more than ad after ad. Designed to encourage one to spend more than they have. Discounts are offered everywhere, no need to be AARP. They would have more funds for advancing senior citizens if they stopped with the constant mail trying to get you sign up. I have been a member 2 years and I still get offers to sign up every month. AARP saves me money when I rent a car, stay in a hotel and gives me good information in their magazine.

I wouldn't join AARP if it was the last thing on this earth to join! It's a progressive leftist group.

So far, very happy with being an AARP member. However, BEWARE of their partner company, Expedia. Just because you choose a hotel room that gives you the option of paying later, doesn't mean that is what will happen. I booked 8 various stays, 5 were charged immediately to my bank account. Expedia said it was a computer "glitch". Not only that, they can get your money in 5 seconds but it takes 5-7 business days to get it back.
