Dr. Weiner is a fantastic speaker and always ranks highly with our attendees. He is prepared and wonderful to work with every time and is one of our favorite go-to speakers for behavioral health and addiction treatment. I recently attended a seminar given by Dr. Weiner in regard to adolescent substance misuse and what can be done about it. The focus was on motivational interviewing techniques and the importance of following the SBIRT model (screening, brief intervention, referral to treatment). Dr. Weiner was an engaging speaker, thoughtful and funny, and respectful of everyone's level of expertise and opinions. Dr. Weiner was engaging, knowledgable, and informative while presenting to a group of junior high parents as part of a school prevention program. He was well received by the parents and was able to answer questions with ease and passion. Dr. Weiner was a pleasure to work with - he was flexible and professional. We would love to have him return to speak to our school and or parent community.
Dr. Weiner gave a detailed and professional, yet easy to understand, presentation about about vaping and marijuana to parents at our junior high school which complemented a prevention program for the 7th grade students. His insight and knowledge were well-received by the parent audience. We look forward to having Dr. Weiner speak in our school community again in the future.
