For me a Dj will make or break a wedding. I was having trouble trying to find one in such a short time frame and I took a chance looking on The Knot for recommendations. We had Brett as the DJ for my daughters' wedding. Everything was amazing, EXCEPT the DJ. He ignored the playlist that we had carefully curated and given him. He failed to make the announcements either accurately (or at all) that we had asked him to do at different points during the evening. He truncated many songs, not reading the room at all when everyone was on the dance floor and singing along, only to be stopped short by him switching to a song that nobody knew.
