There is a reason Dr. Sheets has a 2 out of 5 review score across the board. I spent less than 10 minutes with him before leaving and deciding to find a new practice as he told me it was his second day on the job- after losing his own, dismally rated practice in Largo. He is literally simmering with rage, insulted me almost deliberately, and had a complete meltdown when I questioned his behavior, had spit flying out of his mouth when I asked him for his full name, with his fists balled, no less. I am totally shocked to read these reviews. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Sheets for about 25 years. I would not be alive today if it were not for him. When you are sick he is like a dog with a bone and sends you for every test until he finds the problem. We moved to Wesley Chapel for six years but I still drove back to Largo to go to him. Then I got cancer and the drive was too much when I was sick so as soon as I was cancer free and felt better we sold our beautiful new home to come back to Pinellas so we woul... read more
He scream and yelling if you questioning him and making bad decisions....he stopped me going to my cardiologist...he changed my eye doctor medication....he should not practice medicine....
If you just nod in agreement with everything he says, you will like him. If you question him, he becomes attila the hun. I don't think he is necessarily a bad doctor, he just does not listen and has zero bedside manner. Talks over you and refuses to refer you to a specialist - cause he thinks he knows more than them. Just beware ... I have moved on.
Just had the second problem with Dr Sheets--he does not listen and feels he has all the answers to whatever problems you have researched. I want to participate in what is happening to my body, I am not going to accept just following his directives if my review opens up other questions. If you ask about other options he gets very short and closes off further discussion. I just changed primary doctor from him because of that.
