Georgia native Charles Pharr, Jr., better known as Mr. Aardvark, began his career operating his family-owned thrift store in 1994, selling mostly used furniture. It was not long before he fell in love with the craftsmanship, beauty, uniqueness, long-lasting quality, and increasing value of antique furniture -- the type of furniture he wanted for himself and for others to enjoy. Why the name Aardvark? Stop by any of the stores; Charles will be glad to tell you the story and show you a large selection of beautiful items.

I contacted Charles Pharr to appraise a painting I planned to donate to a local university. He was very responsive, worked quickly to accomplish what I needed. Recently, I asked him to send me more paperwork and, again, he responded immediately, sending what I needed.
Biased Auction House. I made a bid for lot 138 at their auction today and it held for about 45 seconds without any other bids coming in, then someone else bids and they sell within 10 seconds. Belle was accommodating (before and during the purchase process), but when we met in person she was welcoming, engaging, and genuinely kind, and she went way above her duties to help us get our table loaded securely and safely. Just amazing! We bought a piece we’d been looking for - for several... read more
