False advertising via web site. Drove 45 minutes for nothing: picking season over (Oct 3) nothing for kids to do on Monday. Sad kids.
Overated and Expensive~~~ – The location of the apple orchard is great! Lots to see and do once your done with fighting the crowds in the orchard. (Head up 95 for a scenic tour of our awesome fall colors) In regards to the orchard, talk about spendy!!! Not to mention the apples were tasteless. The advertised a "petting zoo" ....... what a joke. 2 sheep and 2 goats. Not to mention these poor animals were without any food or water. We did enjoy the fact that the winery was near by and that was great. We choose to spend more ti... read more
Overpriced, not that much fun – I wish I had read the reviews before I went. First, most buildings that I noticed were not stroller accesible. This is a place for kids, of course there are going to be strollers! Second, the apple trees still had apples, but they were mostly wormy and split open. Third, the "petting zoo" was 5 animals in a big poopy cage. Fourth, I get that they need to make money, but they charge for kids riding TRICYCLES! Food prices were higher than the State Fair, but not as good. I was there for an hour ... read more
Nickeled and Dimed – Aamodt's is a beautiful setting, but overpriced. We paid $10 for a bag to go pick apples, but the apple trees were already overpicked and what was left were very small, pocked, and not appealing at all. Although there was no admission fee, we had to pay to do anything on the property: $2/hayride, $4/pony ride, and they actually charged $1/person to let kids run around in hay bales or $2/person to ride a tractor trike! Seemed like price gouging to me. Although others have posted the staff was friendly, I ... read more
Aamodt's Apple Orchard – We went to Aamodts because the advertisements all said that it was the best orchard and their website said they had all of these great things. First when we got there the parking situation was so awful that people were blocked in left and right when we went to leave we were blocked in as well. We walked throught the orchard and there was not a single apple on the trees to be picked the only decent apples were inside where you had to pay an arm and a leg for them. We bought 1 apple pie 4 apples and a ... read more
Stillwater orchard and bakery offers a variety of fresh-picked apples, apple-inspired goods and other fresh offerings. – In Short This sprawling complex of old buildings is assembled in a small, farm village setting. Antique cars and knickknacks are strewn about. The market sells all sorts of food items, but is known for its wide variety of apple. The do-it-yourself sort can head for the trees, but there are also bins of already picked produce. There's also a winery, a small petting zoo and hot air balloon rides.
we purchased some apple pies to be cooked at home(they were frozen) I have been going here for about 20 years-yearly when my children were young. the apples they used to make their pie were of different variety's - some were not a cooking apple-the pie tasted sweet sometimes and with the next bite-bitter. This is a pronounced problem-others in the area have also complained-DON'T BUY THE APPLE PIES - PLEASE
The "MEGAMALL" - I think not! – I hadn't been to Aamodt's since I was 12 years old (many years ago). That was the only orchard my family had ever been to and after reading the "megamall" review, I was convinced that this was the orchard my family would go to this year. I was extremely disappointed on many levels. We were in and out of there inside of an hour and a half and that was pushing it! My almost 3 year old enjoyed a $3 pony ride that lasted all of maybe 2 minutes. The only thing worthwhile here, that wasn't even ment... read more
