I seriously can’t recommend AAMCO enough! Kirby was absolutely amazing—super friendly, funny, and incredibly patient. I’m new to Texas, and my dad (who usually helps me with all my car stuff) lives in California. When Kirby realized I had no idea what half the car terms meant, he actually took the time to talk to my dad on the phone and explain everything to him. That meant so much to me! I will never bring my car to this shop again! This shop used to be professional and provided good service, but I guess they sold it and now they are horrible! They have very incompetent workers working in the bay! Their mistake caused me to have to purchase a new vehicle, something that I absolutley did not want to do! Don't go here! Find somewhere else to take your car, trust me!
I took my car in initially for transmission rebuild...they kept calling back quoting me higher each time. The last stuff they add on was for a supposed issue with the oil pan. At this time I did not have any oil leaks or issues with my oil being low I get my oil change frequently as needed as part of regular maintenance. My invoice was about $5000 Fast foward a couple of months my car started leaking oil from the parts they had replaced. Our car needed a new torque converter and valve body for the transmission. The people at AAMCO were very communicative, and up-front about what the repair would cost and gave me options alongside their recommendations, so I went in knowing what I was getting into and what I would be paying. I'm very happy with how the car drives now, and I really appreciated how well they communicated with me along the way. I definitely recommend AAMCO for torque converter service.
