I went to AAMCO because I their warranty is covered at every store I take my car to, and I travel a lot despite my vehicle having higher mileage. My transmission was in okay shape, and they quoted me at 2,300. Not only did they complete the job in a timely manner, I didn't realize that the mechanics there can do everything even though they heavily specialize in transmissions. Do not take your car here. I drove my car into this establishment because the transmission was randomely shifting hard. After the mechanic took it for a test drive he told me it was no longer running properly and it was "unsafe" to drive it home. I reluctantly left my car there and signed a paper for them to diagnose my transmission for $500. They tried selling me several different transmissions, I told them to not touch my car until monday.
