Mike came and was great. He was efficient and pleasant.
Absolutely the worst company you can imagine. First, the contractor showed up 30 minutes late. Then he used our own OxiClean stain remover, which is meant for our clothes, to clean rust off parts of the machine without asking. He also put rusty parts back into the machine. The contractor tried to blame everything on us for our washer machine rusting after only five months of ownership. He said it was our water’s fault. Was connected with SCS via Allstate via Home Depot protection plan on a dishwasher. Allstate scheduled it for 2 days after my call to them; SCS said they couldn't meet that timeline and gave me a day 10 days outs. Day of appointment (window 9a-11a): Running too late; wouldn't arrive until at least 1; decided to reschedule for 2 days later. Day of that appointment (window 12p-4p): No-call no-show. Worst experience I’ve had with a repair business. Stereo Component Services was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive from the start. Communication was poor, customer service was nonexistent, and they showed zero respect for my time. I strongly recommend trusting the existing reviews — they are accurate. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.
Trust the negative reviews and do what you can to find another company. If I'd had a choice, I would not have worked with them. They were the service provider contracted by my home warranty company, ARW to fix my dryer. September the dryer malfunctioned again. The technician stated another part was needed. They left my dryer disassembled for MONTHS, didn't return my calls, stated to ARW they had the part in October and would schedule the repair soon.
