I just moved here and needed to be added to my aunts membership and register my car in the state. Our first lady on the second floor was very helpful and nice. We went downstairs and Tiffany helped me. She was super sweet, patient, and helpful! She explained a bunch of different things to me and I never felt rushed or anything. I went here to get an international driving permit. It didn’t take long at all and the staff were very friendly and helpful with the process.
The lady on the phone was shockingly rude and curt, couldn’t be less interested in helping out a customer. I would rather go to the DMV where they are much more friendly and efficient than AAA.
I feel foolish for assuming the AAA Encinitas branch would offer an easy way to optain a very easy form, but alas it was not a bastion of efficiency. In fact, the employees operate with zero sense of urgency despite a waiting room full of disgruntled people. I visited with the goal of obtaining an International Driving Permit - a form to be submitted with two passport-style photos and a nominal fee.
