J.D. Bush came to Albany and started AAA Concrete Products in 1949. His partners were L.T. Shefield, Woodrow Beech and Paul Beech. The original intent of AAA's founders was to go into the manufacture of masonary block; however, a competitor who was also in the ready mix concrete business told local contractors that if they purchased block from AAA, they could no longer purchase concrete from them.
