Got fish from here, looked reasonable.. Put them in my very established community tank. The fish i purchased died and then half of my community are gone. Called and spoke to someone very rude who told me this must be my own fault and it must be my water... Will never go here again.
Always a great place to buy fish and aquatic essentials and just great people to talk to, whether for advice or just general talk amongst fish and aquarium lovers. I completely forgot they also now own Fish Haven, I must go there soon. Life is life and it’s been a few years since visiting A1 - my three aquariums have been stable and doing well, but I needed a few essentials, fish and non-fish; I found a beautiful Betta and albino cardinals and Mark was an absolutely great help. Thank you
Very friendly service and very clean tanks
They gave me life for about $20 total. My own little cold jar aquarium with two snails, plants at the top, and food for the snails to eat. You can’t buy such a nice indoor plant for that much. They don’t even need water Ph testing or chlorine stabiliser drops. Just top it up or buy a new jar (cheap from the reject shop, jars not for sale from the fish shop as far as I know)
Highly recommend A1 Tropicals! Staff are extremely knowledgeable and often will discount a fish or two if you are getting a decent handful of items/fish. Honestly it's my favourite aquarium store in Adelaide, and yes I have been to ALL of them. Overall prices are great, variety is great, and the vibe is on point. 👍🏻☺️
