After a rough start on ourmaiden voyage we lost our starboard engine. We limped our catamaran into Money Island Bay. For the next week my wife and I started to troubleshootour engine problem to no avail. To our surprise Yanmar enginetechs and service departments are not that ubanatant in the Morehead area. I called A1 and spoke with Andrew while he was at a doctor's appointment. i would go on for a while here but to keep it short I'll just say they failed me 100%. I will never call or recommend them ever again.
Excellent experience. Thank you, Andrew! Andrew's team was very helpful in sourcing the correct components for my Yanmar engine, and at a very good price. When I needed a little assistance removing seized senders from an old coolant pump to install the new, he was also super helpful and quick service to assist. It helps us timewise (weather windows sailing around Hatteras) and kind on the wallet. I will definitely keep A-1 top in mind when needing diesel assistance when in the region. Thanks again
Buyer Beware: I could speak at length about my experience but will try and keep this short (my invoice is attached so you can make your own judgement). I'll start with the first lie I was told: "nobody does estimates in this industry". As a first time boat owner I was a FOOL to believe this; everyone in the area provides an estimate, A1 marine is the only one that doesn't. The only thing worse than the customer service is the actual work. AVOID this place!! There are multiple marine service dealers in the area and they could not possibly be as bad as these guys.
