I feel like I got ripped off. I had a broken spring and was told on the phone the visit is $59, not hourly. When the technician got there, I was told it would be $990 for new springs. Springs online are about $250. Then the technician dismantled my garage door and said the bearings and cables also need replacing, another $800. In total it was $1,800 for a simple spring replacement. I will not use A1 in the future.

I canceled another company upon assurance from their scheduler Caitlin that they were a full service company that carried all the parts to make sure my problem could be resolved in one visit. I even described the problem as a stripped drive on a genie opener. When their tech Jose arrived, he was unfamiliar with working on genie, had no parts and could only offer a completely new lift master opener at a greatly inflated price.
