We hired Matthew to move an entry door in a basement bedroom and install a barn door. This required framing the new entry, adding a header, relocating the wall light switch, hanging some drywall, installing baseboard and shoe molding and installing hardware to mount door after we painted. We did demo of old doorway and purchased materials. It took two days to complete the framing and begin drywall. Work was good, we had our mailbox installed and replaced and it looked fine. Customer service was terrible though, two men showed up that day and asked if I had tools for the job. When I said that I didn’t have the tools and that I thought they would bring their own, they let out a grunt and looked annoyed. (I was never asked to provide my own tools by any contractor??) Other than that the work was okay but could definitely use some improvement with customer service!

We had the most horrible experience with A Touch of Matisse. We paid him almost $5,000 dollars to put new tile on the bathroom shower walls and around the tub. He spent 6 days doing a job he said would take 4 days (started 2 days later than promised) and never finished. The work completed was horrible: crooked tile placement, large gaps between the tile and the wall, tiles that did not line up horizontally, seams between tiles that would get wider towards the bottom of the tiles, etc..
