I wish I could give 0 stars. It is shameful that this business is BBB accredited. I brought my wedding dress in, and said that I would be flying back into town the next month. They assured me it would be ready by then. It was not. They completely ruined a vintage Vera wang, removing buttons and letting out seams that we never discussed touching. The old, rude woman told me she didn't like the dress anyway and threw the buttons at me on the way out the door. I had to have the campus tailors at the citadel work desperately to ... read more
Exceptional courtesy! They want to get it right every time. Very reasonable, as well. I have used them several times and they never fail
NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK. I have been going to A Stitch Witch for over 6 years. I’ve taken my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and multiple other dresses to them for alterations. I even recently sent my husband there to have his suits tailored. Yes, they are blunt and have attitudes but I’ve never had a problem before. They really outdid themselves, though. They have a new seamstress there, that I’ve never worked with. She altered a bridesmaid dress for me to include hemming it, altering the straps, and taking in the sid... read more
I took two dresses in the the stitch witch. One just needed a bit of fluff taken out (my wedding dress) and the other was about 3 sizes too big and I wanted them to take it in. They had my dresses for about 3 weeks. I went back in and she told me, not asked, to put the one she had taken in on first. I put it on and you could clearly see it was still 2 sizes too big. She's on the floor hemming another dress not really looking at me and tell me it looks great. I tell her no it's still way too big. She's telling me know and whe... read more
I strongly discourage people from doing business with Stitch Witch. They were rude and messed up three dresses for my family. I wish we would have read these reviews before doing business with them, but we trusted the bridal shop that sent us there. It is noteworthy that the bridal shop has now fired Stitch Witch. After several months they still didn’t have my daughter’s wedding dress right. A former employee of Stitch Witch was used and she finally got the dress right. It was very stressful for my daughter and resulted in l... read more
Not pleasant and very rude
These people are so rude. I went in to get some alterations and they turned away my business. They said they were too busy with wedding dresses and to go somewhere else.
I used Stitch Witch to re-do the bustle on my wedding gown, and was VERY pleased with the work they did. It was easy for my bridesmaids to tie up, and it held up throughout the entire night of dancing and celebrating. They also recommended us to Cacky's Bride-Aid service, which provided great help with logistics on our wedding day. I highly recommend Stitch Witch to anyone in need of a wedding gown alterations.
