Needed a small repaired - a valve midway between the house and water main was leaking and had frozen over. The valve needed to be replaced. The plumber arrived on site and quoted a $1700 price which included digging. The homeowner notified the plumber that no digging was needed. The price was reduced to $1500. This price was too much and the homeowner refused the plumber's service. A fee of $150 was charged for the visit.
