I have never been so put off by a practitioner. Mary Jane met me at the door and said "what am I doing for you today I don't do therapy." She then started to lecture me about how I needed to believe in God, when I was not raised that way, which was absolutely not her place. I was talking to her from across the room while she appeared at me over the top of her laptop. I have gotten a warmer reception from the DMV. I will not be seeing her again

The communications thru the front desk is not of the quality expected for a psychology practice.
Funneled into a system I did not ask for. Student randomly sat in on appointment. Pay for an hour, appointment might last about 15 minutes. Front desk seems uncaring or out of touch. They don't return calls or messages. No appointment reminders, no patient portal... there's gotta be a better place to start for mental health.
Adderall and other amphetamines are destroying our communities in Horry County, and A Place to Start is the #1 distributor. My friend who was a recovering addict came here seeking therapy and instead was given large doses of amphetamines. As you can imagine they have fully relapsed and their life is now a complete mess and our relationship has suffered immensely.
